Anyone Interested in a Group Video Chat Session with Gifchy

Gifchy’s income has decreased this month below what she needs to survive. Currently she has no sponsors so I asked her if she had any ideas to increase her income, and she does.

Remember when Gifchy used to be on Bigo, spending hours trying to earn beans which she could be turned into gems which then could be traded for diamonds which were then sold to buy into seeds, which could then be exchanged and cashed out? Seriously, it’s like assembling IKEA furniture, but the manual is in hieroglyphics. It's so confusing and for a reason as in the end the only people making money are the company. I tried to figure out for her what the girls there actually made and the closes I could figure out was that it was likely about less than 2% of what the users sent.

So I convinced her to ditch that headache and spend that time here instead, promising she’d actually earn real money—and actually understand how much she earned! The girls here keep 90+% of the money you send and small amount deducted is used to cover real operating expenses like the server which costs over $300 a month and other real expenses.

One feature she liked at Bigo which I could make available here is group chats. This suggestion came straight from Gifchy herself: She wants to host live group video chats! Imagine joining a video room with Gifchy live on cam, chatting, laughing, and hanging out with all of you. And don’t worry—you would have control over your camera to decide if only she can see you, everyone sees you, or your camera is off completely (totally your choice!).

One quick note: the video chat API costs me per minute, per user. While I’m thinking of making this totally free for you guys, it’d only work financially if you’d toss Gifchy some Virtual Hearts after these sessions. I’ll use my tiny 10% share of that to cover those pesky per-minute, per user fees.
