Webcam Issues Solved with Chrome on Android

Some of you may have noticed that the webcam feature isn’t working properly in Google Chrome on Android. The problem is usually caused by Chrome’s app-level permissions. If Camera and Microphone are disabled in Chrome’s app settings, the site cannot access them even if you click “Allow” in the browser.

✅ To fix this: long-press the Chrome icon → tap App info (ℹ️) → tap Permissions → enable Camera and Microphone. I’ve posted an infographic to make the steps clear. ⚠️ Please also note: the girls may run into this same problem if they are using Chrome. While I’ve told them about it, they don’t always pay close attention. If you’re planning a webcam session, you may need to remind them to check their Chrome app permissions.
