The chat system just got a small upgrade: messages older than 3 months will now be automatically cleared out.
Most people never search back that far anyway, and trimming the old history helps keep everything running smoother and faster for everyone. As a bonus, it also tightens things up on the security side — old data simply doesn't sit around anymore. Leave the site and forget to delete your account? No problem as old messages will automatically delete anyway.
If there's anything special you want to keep, just save it before it reaches the 3-month mark.
